Open House by Mrs. Bain

Tonight was Open House night at Promenade and 18 students came with their families! It was so nice to meet with parents and families and I hope everyone enjoyed playing "Bain's Beach Blanket Bingo".

Students work very hard in my class and the room looked great!  We had our VanGogh "Irises" on display as well as our Japanese brush painting fans.  Our Faith Ringgold story quilts were beautiful and colorful.  It was nice to show off our first "Response to Literature" essays as well as our "Heroes" essays.  Parents got to read about our New Year's Resolutions and see photos of our awesome day of GOLD MINING!  We have been learning about producers and consumers and the food chain in Science and our "food chains" were on display.  Finally, parents got to see all of the 3's and 4's we have been getting on Math, Listening, and Social Studies quizzes.

I especially enjoyed putting together the slideshow of our class.

It was just a spectacular night all around! Now, I can't wait for SPRING BREAK!
